Records Department announces competitive pricing
A request for police department records drew a City estimate of $4,500.00, delivered 24 days after the request was received. An estimate the City sent in August, on a different request, came to $1,224.00. We remind everyone that sunlight is the best disinfectant, and disinfectant is expensive.
Council members to keep City information to themselves
Under Ordinance 2023-05-31.5, other than with the Council at its next meeting, a Council member “shall not, at any time, use, disseminate, share, or in any way publish or distribute” City records or information “to or with any person or entity,” including “on any social platform.” The rule continues after the member leaves office. The fine is up to $500 per violation. Our copy is unsigned and its adoption date is blank.
Council holds eight special sessions in fifteen days
Recordings of special sessions on September 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29 and 30 and October 6 are listed on our Meeting Videos page. Residents who missed one had seven other chances.
Ordinance library opens
Our ordinance library holds the City ordinances we have on file, posted from the copies we hold. Partial and unsigned copies are labeled. The City is welcome to send the rest.
